0Luiza Lins, a post-doctoral fellow at MigraMediaActs, attended the event “Media and Conflict Memory: An Interdisciplinary Workshop”, which took place at the University of Glasgow, UK, on 22 and 23 November 2023.
On 23 November, as part of Panel 7: Visualising Conflict, Luiza presented a paper entitled “Migrations, media and memory activisms: ongoing dialogues in a multidisciplinary project in Portugal“, developed in collaboration with researchers Julia Alves Brasil, Isabel Macedo and Rosa Cabecinhas.

Organised by the Crisis, Security and Conflict Communication and Communication in Post and Neo-Authoritarian Societies Working Groups of the International Association of Media and Communication Researchers (IAMCR), the workshop brought together a diverse group of researchers to discuss the role of the media in remembering conflicts.
